Kevin Yeager had the hot hand on Tuesday, tallying four hits and leading the Deleon Bearcats to a 25-1 victory over Gorman. Yeager doubled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.
The Bearcats fired up the offense in the first inning. Yeager doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Deleon scored ten runs in the fifth inning and put the pressure on, lead by singles from Dawson Matthews, Landon Wilkerson, Kelan Hodges, and Mattson Locke, by Yeager, Matthews, and Austin Stogsdill, Trey Lopez, and Marshall Cogburn.
Locke led the Bearcats to victory on the mound. He lasted four innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two. Yeager threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Madera took the loss for Gorman. He went four innings, allowing 20 runs on 17 hits and striking out two.
Deleon racked up 21 hits in the game. Hodges, Yeager, Cogburn, Locke, and Lopez all collected multiple hits for the Bearcats. Hodges led Deleon with five hits in five at bats.
